Do Not Lose Heart!

“And let us not grow weary while doing good, for in due season we shall reap if we do not lose heart.” Galatians 6:9-10

As our region begins the process of reopening from barber shops to outdoor dining, my prayer is that everything is done safely, soberly and that these steps bring a JOY  into our region. Now, in the midst of a safe reopening, there are wounds and pain… that we see expressed through the protests throughout our region and throughout our country and world.

What a blessing it was for me this past Sunday, to hear from a few brothers on this issue, but I know as I have heard from many of you that this is an issue that reveals wounds and pain. A few things on this. I want you to know that as the bible teaches us in Romans 12:15 “Rejoice with those who rejoice, and weep with those who weep.” Can I say this, I am “weeping with those who are weeping” right now. The Lord has ministered to me that much of what is being manifested is “PAIN.” I weep and I pray you would ask the Lord to give you compassion and ask Him to see this “how He sees this.”

Now, as followers of Jesus, we are not ignorant of the answer to these things. Jeremiah 17:9 “The heart is deceitful above all things, and desperately wicked; who can know it? I, the Lord, search the heart.” Later, in the book of Ezekiel, God tells us that He is the one who takes out our hearts of stone and gives us hearts of flesh. We do know RACISM is real… The solution… and may I say this from God’s Word… the only solution is JESUS’ DEATH, BURIAL AND RESURRECTION. As Paul said in Romans 1:16 “For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ, for it is the power of God to salvation for everyone who believes, for the Jew first and also for the Greek.” THE GOSPEL, what Jesus did for all of fallen mankind on the CROSS OF CALVARY, is the only hope for these REAL problems we are facing today. May God grant us mercy in these days to “not grow weary while doing good, that we may reap.” IN JESUS’ NAME!

Praying that God’s people would turn to Jesus in these days like never before,
