“And ye know that he was manifested to take away our sins, and in him is no sin.” 1 John 3:5/ “For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that he might destroy the works of the devil.” 1 John 3:8
Here, the beloved John the apostle tells you and me two very important reasons why Jesus was manifested. The word manifested in Greek is phaneroō: to make actual and visible, realized. And He was made visual to this world to: 1) “take away our sins” 2) “that He might destroy the works of the devil.”
Man’s greatest need is God’s greatest deed and that’s never truer here in the refreshing reality that Jesus has taken away our sins. He also has destroyed the works of the enemy in our lives and is looking to SET US COMPLETELY FREE. Today, ask Him to break anything that Satan can still grab onto in your life.
