“So Jesus stood still and called them and said, “What do you want Me to do for you?” John 20:32

What would it be like to be blind? To not have the ability to wake up in the morning and open your eyes and see the sunlight? To watch a bird fly through the air? To see the sunrise or set on any given day? Let me ask you another question. What would it be like to be spiritually blind?…

I think most of us, if we were honest, would rather be spiritually blind as opposed to physically blind but that would be the wrong choice in the LONG RUN.

In Matthew 20, there were two blind men that heard through the grapevine that Jesus was coming to town. Already, from other previously blind and lame men and women, they had heard that this Jesus was able to do miracles. He was able to change peoples lives with one touch of His hand. He was able to do things that no physician could accomplish.

When the commotion began, these two men, BLIND BOTH PHYSICALLY AND SPIRITUALLY… began to call upon the name of the Lord. Wow! As they cried out to God in human flesh, Jesus Christ… He responded as He always does. To be exact, “He stood still,” first. This is what Jesus does when we cry out to Him. He first stops and He listens to us. He catches our cries and the Bible says He holds all our tears in a bottle. Then, Jesus “called them.” What does that mean? Jesus told them to come to Him. They may have not been able to see Him but they could hear Him. What about you? Maybe you can’t see properly right now in life, but as the Bible says “if you can hear His voice do not harden your heart.” Lastly, He asked them, “What do you want Me to do for you?” What is it that you need? What is it that your heart is crying out for today? Jesus wants to meet you right where you’re at. He wants to provide for you. Might I say, Jesus wants and longs to bless you today! He loves you like He loved those two blind men.

Will you call out to Him today? Will you ask Him to hear your plea? Will you talk to Him about your troubles? He wants to hear from you today, so when you call to Him and He asks you to come closer… go, because what happens next is SIMPLY MIRACULOUS!
