As we continue through 1 Samuel we are watching God bring IDENTITY to the children of Israel… and might I add they are His children. Though may go through some difficulty and maybe even lose battles, God has not left them. Many times since the Lord delivered them from Egypt they have questioned Him, rebelled against Him and even denied His faithfulness that He promised to them.
But, regardless of their faithfulness to Him, He will be faithful to them.
“When we are faithless God remains faithful, He cannot deny Himself.” 2 Timothy 2:13
Do you believe that? Has the Enemy convinced you the Lord has departed? His glory, His presence has left you? Sometimes, I am baffled that we give more credit to a human mother and father to take care and protect and do the right things for their kids than God will do for His own.
Never forget what God said through the prophet Isaiah,
“Can a woman forget her nursing child, And not have compassion on the son of her womb? Surely they may forget, Yet I will not forget you. See, I have inscribed you on the palms of My hands.” Isaiah 49:15-16
The Lord Jesus has eternal tattoos on His wrists and on His feet. He didn’t get them with a needle and ink but He received them on a hill called Calvary, when He was lain upon a wooden Roman cross, His wrists were held down, as a soldier took a spike in his hand and a mallet in the other and drove the spike threw. DON’T EVER FORGET HE DID THAT FOR YOU! HE WILL NEVER LEAVE YOU! HE WILL NEVER FORGET YOU! HE WILL ALWAYS PURSUE YOU!
